What is SNAP?
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), formerly known as food stamps, is a federal program run by each state that helps low-income households buy groceries. Benefits arrive monthly on an EBT card you can use at most grocery stores. You apply through your own state’s agency — never through a third-party site, and never for a fee.
